Louisiana Educator Certification (LEC) System
To apply for certification in Louisiana, applicants are to access the Louisiana Educator Certification (LEC) system, which is now part of the Louisiana Educator Portal (LEP). Sign in to LEP to access the new application system using a MyLa account. The system allows for easy electronic submission of certification applications and online payment of fees.

5/30/2025 - Certification requests for VAM teachers should be deferred until VAM is released. Evaluations for VAM teachers are not final until VAM is released into LES and included in the final scores. LDOE will provide further guidance once the necessary data has been released and systems are updated accordingly.
