Teach LA Live! is the online educator certification portal designed to improve customer service and bring teacher certification into the digital age. The portal allows for easy communication among state and local staff, electronic submission of certification applications, and online payment of fees. Access Teach LA Live! HERE.
Process for Submitting Transcripts
Official transcripts should be sent (mailed or
emailed) directly to you or your employing school system and will be
considered official. These can be scanned and uploaded to TeachLALive! (https://ldoe.force.com/s/) with your
certification request/application. Processing delays may be avoided by
submitting transcripts with the application and payment confirmation receipt.
Certification Applications Updated
As laws and policies change, the information in the certification application packets must be updated to reflect those changes. It is very important to use the current application when applying. Application packets recently updated include:
- Certification Update Application (Revised January 15, 2021)
- Nonpublic Higher/Renewal Application (Revised November 20, 2020)
- Ancillary Certification Application (Revised November 20, 2020)
- Educational Leader Application (Revised November 20, 2020)
To access current application packets, visit "Certification Applications & Forms" page by clicking on the link within the menu on the right. Download the application to your computer, complete, save, then provide to your employer or upload it to the portal.
